چکیده

Polymerization processes with high reproducibility, traceability, and nontoxic compounds are required for biomedical applications. Here an automated solvent-free polymerization of hyperbranched polyglycerol has been established on a multiple-hundred gram scale. Performed is anionic ring-opening multibranching (ROMB) slow addition glycidol. The approach avoids commonly used organic solvents during the work-up. Due to automation process reproducibility traceability accomplished. reactor equipped anchor stirrer control, which measures applied torque. A linear correlation increasing torque degree observed, can be monitor molecular weight in situ polymerization.

Polymerization of Ethyl Acrylate Using Hyperbranched Polyglycerol with Multi-RAFT Groups as Chain Transfer Agent

Surfacing hydroxyl groups of hyperbranched polyglycerol (PG) were transformed into trithiocarbonates (TTC), an efficient multi radical addition-fragmentation transfer (RAFT) agent, to mediate the polymerization of ethyl acrylate (EA) under controllable conditions, and PG with multiarm PEAwas obtained. In this system, PG was a part of Z groups, and trithiolcarbonates were bonded directly to the ...

Hyperbranched Polyglycerol as a Colloid in Cold Organ Preservation Solutions

Hydroxyethyl starch (HES) is a common colloid in organ preservation solutions, such as in University of Wisconsin (UW) solution, for preventing graft interstitial edema and cell swelling during cold preservation of donor organs. However, HES has undesirable characteristics, such as high viscosity, causing kidney injury and aggregation of erythrocytes. Hyperbranched polyglycerol (HPG) is a branc...

extremal region detection guided by maxima of gradient magnitude

a problem of computer vision applications is to detect regions of interest under dif- ferent imaging conditions. the state-of-the-art maximally stable extremal regions (mser) detects affine covariant regions by applying all possible thresholds on the input image, and through three main steps including: 1) making a component tree of extremal regions’ evolution (enumeration), 2) obtaining region ...

Varations of molecular weight estimation by HP-size exclusion chromatography with UVA versus online DOC detection.

High performance size exclusion chromatography (HPSEC) with ultraviolet absorbance (UVA) detection has been widely utilized to estimate the molecular weight (MW) and MW distribution of natural organic matter (NOM). However, the estimation of MW with UVA detection is inherently inaccurate because UVA at 254 nm only detects limited components (mostly pi bonded molecules) of NOM, and the molar abs...

Polymerization of proteins with glutaraldehyde. Soluble molecular-weight markers.

Glutaraldehyde is well known for its ability to react with proteins and to produce insoluble cross-linked aggregates. In contrast with this situation, conditions are described here which yield covalently linked soluble protein oligomers. The procedure is applicable to a wide range of proteins, and by slight variation in the reaction conditions, soluble polymers in the molecular weight range 3x1...
